Ross Trethewey

Ross Trethewey

Founder/Lead Engineer

Ross Trethewey is the founder and lead engineer for TE2 Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in various states and has worked in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines from both the contractor and manufacturing side of the business. Ross has designed solutions ranging from high end residential projects to Hotel Villas and Data Centers. He has received both a Bachelor’s of Science and Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University. Ross also serves as the Building Engineer for the PBS Series, “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House” and is frequently showing the latest technology on “Future House”. Ross has presented at various conferences/events such as IBS/NAHB, ASHRAE, JLC, and the PHCC National Convention. Outside of the office, Ross likes to spend time with his wife and 2 young children, and getting on the ocean.

Mike Wotus

Mike Wotus

Project Manager

Mike has worked as a design engineer providing a variety of mechanical consulting services for clients in both the nuclear and commercial building industry. Since joining TE2 Engineering in 2017, he has worked on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems ranging from high-end residential housing to school facilities. Mike is an accomplished MEP Project Engineer committed to exceeding client’s complex engineering needs. He has received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. As an avid baseball fan, Mike enjoys experiencing new MLB ballparks with family during their summer vacation. During his free time, Mike enjoys hiking the White Mountains in NH, touring new breweries, and golf trips with friends. His newest passion is being a dad.

Scott McFadden

Scott McFadden

Project Manager

Scott is a graduate of Massachusetts Bay Community College and Fitchburg State College, with an Associate’s in Engineering Design and Bachelor’s in Communications Media respectively. Scott worked as a CAD operator early in his career, eventually working in Fire Protection, beginning as a fitter’s apprentice and eventually moved to Fire Protection system design and engineering. Scott worked on various residential sprinkler systems and systems in high rise buildings. Since joining TE2 in December 2018, Scott has enjoyed learning to design HVAC systems and remains enthusiastic about energy modeling, calculation and HVAC system design. Scott has also enjoyed continuing to develop his Fire Protection skills and design work with TE2. Outside the office, Scott practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and trains at Franklin Martial Arts. He studies fitness, history, local history and is also a musician.

Matt Manteiga

Matt Manteiga

Project Engineer

Matt is a client-focused Project Engineer, and he uses his skills to successfully plan, manage, and execute projects from start to finish. Matt previously worked as a Design Engineer at TE2 for over 2 years, and he has proven to lead and solve complex technical challenges. Matt earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University in May of 2021. During his time at TE2 Engineering, he has skillfully contributed to energy modeling and HVAC system design. He prides himself as a problem solver, enthusiastic professional, and enjoys the attention to detail and creative thinking associated with HVAC design. He’s excited to continue to apply and grow his project management and design skills in the HVAC industry. As a retired college track athlete, Matt enjoys staying active, joining local sports leagues, playing pick-up basketball at his local courts and hiking with friends and family. Born and raised a Bostonian, he prides himself as a Boston sports fan, most notably rooting on the Celtics and Patriots. Outside of athletics, Matt loves playing competitive video games and skating with friends.

Matthew Stringfellow

Matthew Stringfellow

Project Engineer

Matthew is a Project Engineer who loves learning new MEP concepts and trying to find the best solutions for unique problems. He first joined the TE2 team as a Design Engineer in 2022, working on energy modeling and HVAC system design. Since joining the company, he has been able to learn a lot about how engineering works in practice, and has really enjoyed the collaborative thinking and problem-solving involved. Matthew graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he enjoyed performing with the MIT Festival Jazz Ensemble and the MIT Wind Ensemble. Besides music, Matthew also enjoys cooking, reading, weightlifting, video games, and spending time with his friends and family.

Collin Chen

Collin Chen

Design Engineer

Collin is a Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduate, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Architectural Engineering. Prior to TE2, he worked CAD drafting positions in the surveying and commercial roofing industries, allowing him to quickly accumulate more than a decade of CAD experience. At TE2, he has been developing his problem solving and MEP design engineering skills since his start in September 2022. He also enjoys working to promote more efficient designs for future sustainability. Collin is a big fan of anything automotive, especially motorsport. Before the pandemic, he could often be found at various autocross events in New England. He also spends time detailing his family’s cars. Collin typically stays active by going on walks, but also enjoys playing soccer or archery shooting. In his down time, he likes playing video games, cooking, and playing guitar and piano.

Edward Luka

Design Engineer

Edward joined the TE2 team in 2022, after graduating from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a concentration in Aerospace Engineering. His passion for engineering goes back to a young age, from building model rockets as a boy to founding a robotics team at his New Jersey high school. He enjoys the HVAC industry’s blend of high-level design challenges and hands-on problem solving, and is excited to apply and improve his skills while creating efficient and comfortable buildings. Outside the office, Edward is a dedicated fan of soccer and F1 racing, a music lover (if not much of a musician), and enjoys hiking and kayaking around New England. In his downtime, he can often be found playing video games with his friends or with his nose buried in a book.

Kerri Murphy

Design Engineer

Kerri’s journey with TE2 began in the summer of 2022, during her internship with the company. Following her graduation in May of 2023 from Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with concentrations in Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Kerri rejoined the TE2 team as a Design Engineer. Kerri enjoys the collaborative environment offered at TE2 and is excited to be on the team. Kerri chose to be an engineer as she is drawn to the building design and the seamless integration of systems into the structure. Engineering has allowed Kerri to meticulously plan out every piece of the puzzle and watch it as it comes to life in a unique and luxurious way to match each owner’s individual vision. Her attention to detail and ability to think outside the box fuels her investment into each project she works on. Kerri’s goal is to continue to grow and develop her design skills and soak up all the information and experience offered to her. Outside of work, you can often find Kerri by the ocean. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family. As a Bostonian, she loves her New England sports teams, and often attends Patriots games. She’s a traveler and an explorer at heart and cannot wait to continue exploring Massachusetts as she comes back to the area.

Design Engineer

Colin started with TE2 Engineering in July of 2023 as a Design Engineer. In his time at the company, he has gained a foundational understanding of HVAC drafting and load calculations on residential systems. He is eager to gain industry experience with a variety of projects and to improve his design and problem-solving skills. Colin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May 2023. While at UMass, he competed as a member of the UMass Rocket Team and gained CAD experience as an astronomy research assistant. Outside of engineering, Colin hosted a college radio show with friends and enjoys listening to music, and stays active by playing soccer and going snowboarding and surfing.

Libby Fitzgerald

Libby Fitzgerald

Director of Administration

As the Director of Administration, Libby oversees human resources, develops organizational policies, coordinates departments, tracks client invoices, maintains employee records, analyzes financial information, and handles various administrative duties. With over 20 years of experience in program management and human resources leadership, Libby joined the TE2 team in December 2022, and she enjoys contributing to the success of the company. Libby is a native of Maine and holds a Master of Science degree in Administrative Studies from Boston College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Stonehill College. Committed to giving back to the community, she actively volunteers with the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI). In her free time, Libby finds joy in spending quality time with her husband and 2 children.
